• visa application, residence permit including help dealing with the immigration authorities

• administrative issues (e.g. appointments at the local authorities, opening a bank account), visiting a doctor
• events and activities organized by the University of Heidelberg
• services provided by the University of Heidelberg
• culture and life in Heidelberg and Germany
• language courses
• excursions organized by the International Office

2. Arranging events and excursions for international scholars

• day trips to the area around Heidelberg (in English)
• film nights
• international breakfasts
• games and crafts activities for children

3. Organizing German courses at the International Study Centre in Heidelberg
 

We would ask you to register online at the Welcome Centre so that we can make our services available to you and include you and your family in our social events.

• PFIF - Partners for International Friendship
  Pfif-Partners for International Friendship is a group of volunteers who organize a weekly programme of events especially for visiting scholars. The events, which take place at the guest house, are a very good opportunity to make contacts and find friends. You can find the current programme here.
